Nimek is one of those writers that even people outside the graffiti world know and not because he is quite some character. His excessive presence in the streets as a component of GFM makes his name one of the most (if not the most) repeated in Barcelona.
Who better than him to try the new MTN Mega Plata?
We know that the blinds are his primary choice, but he also likes to make silver pieces in the subway tunnels,  not too common bombing in the city of Barcelona, especially when compared to cities like Paris.
What better area to test the conditions of an aerosol than underground tunnels? The porosity of the walls mixed with a thick layer of dust make underground tunnels a challenge for any kind of painting.

‘When I first tried out the spray I got pleasantly surprised. A very wide shot and really dense coverage.’

‘The Fat Pink cap that comes with it provides a very suitable stroke for filling. I can´t wait to see what happens with an Astro Fat’

‘As the can is getting emptier, its covering power decreases, but the pressure remains the same. Maybe it was my mistake, I should have mixed it better or it was just something logical.’

‘The truth is that with just one mega you can fill in the same surface (approximately) as with 2 hardcore cans, and much faster. This format makes it quite convenient as you have to take less cans with you…’

After the tenth Versus, the project is taking a brief break in this journey that has taken us to different countries. Some of the best writers of the scene in Barcelona, Lisbon, Lyon, Santiago, Stockholm, Helsinki, Sant Petesburg and Buenos Aires have shown their skills put to the test of only one color, while checking out the effective functioning of Hardcore 2.
All participants have performed with ease, each in his own style, leaving a bunch of videos that perfectly reflect the personality of each one of  them.
It is fair to make a final review of these 10 Versus videos that have converted the  Hardcore 2 color chart in something more than just a list colors.

The spirit of ‘Vandals In Motion‘ stays alive, and just as sparkling is ‘Rojo Akari‘ (‘Akari Red’), which is the color of choice of one the members of this historic crew. Most defenitely… ‘Vandals Emotion’.

How many pieces have you made in one single day?

A couple of window-downs and some whole car, I can remember that this day was quite stressful.

In how many cities have you painted?

I do not really know but around 10-15 something. I mostly like painting in Stockholm.

Which is the biggest issue you have faced while painting?

Becoming finished painting and getting the kids to school.

Which color have you chosen and why?

If you mean the piece on the film I choose Akari Red, because red is a fresh color, and it covers well.

What is the maximum time you have gone without painting?

6 month or so…

How was you’re experience of painting with Hardcore2?

The Montana Hardcore 2 was nice and smooth, good pressure too.

Lyon writer GRIS1 always spoils us with nice walls in many colors and with a lot of contrasts. The VERSUS project puts him to the test with only one color.
‘Rosa Amor’ is a perfect name for a color like this. The Frenchman pulled it together perfectly, and took benefit of the situation and dedicated the piece in homage to his loved one. A true romantic!
