Hamburg has always been a key city for the German graffiti on trains. Nowadays, it appears that the BK style, style "native" to the city of Hamburg, is being replaced by a quest for some originality...

Either way, the DB trains are loaded with passengers and quality graffiti. We had made a selection from Ilovegraffiti and Downbylaw.

Oahu and Phil America are preparing a new book with Alias Press publisher. Below the title "Our side of the tracks" they present this work in 70 images from 35 different countries showing us the romantic and artistic atmosphere that surrounds train-writing  discipline, all in a purely photographic perspective.

And, it has to be mentioned, that photography around train-actions acquires unique motivation from a photographer.

'(...) The book includes portraits of many of the world’s most famous artists involved in the graffiti scene as well as many of the most visited and the most obscure places, out of reach from the general public, where graffiti writers go to paint on trains. It will not only be the bible in ones library but it will stand as a timeless piece of work in the scene now seemingly over-saturated in books about the subject. A subculture on the rise and the first-hand, behind-the-scenes look at the people, considered criminals, who practice the art known as train painting, the last antidote to blatant advertising. (...)'

Fahr.1 is a novel space for creating, diffusing and educating about the modern practices related to Urban Arts. The project intends to generate interest and exposure over the new tendencies in street art, as well as provoke a positive impact in the urban surroundings where the activities are taking place.

The program counts with the collaboration of national artists like Megan, Elkenor, Btoy, Remed, Filippo Minelli, Lluc Queralt, Ever, Gaser and Sam3..

Rough missions from the hard to paint subway-system of the spanish capital, and from other cities like Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Valencia, Barcelona, Mallorca, Athens, Brussels and Budapest. All in fast action style!

The artist Mymo has sent us this video and images as colorful evidence of her adventures in Cape Town. After travelling to London, Berlin, Barcelona, New York, Los Angeles, Australia and Amsterdam, the berliner shows us her unique work with clear North African influences.

Fafa, from Seville, updated his website a few days ago. It's always pleasant to take a look at the incredible and personal pieces from this painter who, amongst other things, manages to immortalize graffiti scenes, in a really unique way.

Here are a few of his pieces.

From the 5th to the 19th of May, Rime MSK is presenting his exposition 'Sketchy M%#therfuckers' in the Known Gallery (L.A.). The Los Angeles based artist is back in full force with this collection, full of visual textures and hues, and linked closely to his graphic identity and to sketching.
