Recent wall I painted over the weekend with Nako. The Hardcore Akari Red caught me a bit off guard – its a surprisingly hot colour! although once I mixed it in with other pinks and oranges in my fill, it started to look pretty funky.
On one of the last Summery weekends here in Vancouver, I took a trip up to Gibsons BC, which is a short ferry ride from the city. I met up with Ben Tour and Akews to rock this wall. Gibsons is a really nice place and has a very chill small town vibe. Check out the pics below:
A short Interview I did in my studio with local Gallery Hot Art Wet City. We are planing a typography show in the January 2014 which I have already started working towards. Watch the clip below!http://www.vimeo.com/71979358
Just flipping through more staff pics on vimeo. This one is sort of odd and funny, but surprisingly these simple acts or gestures seem to hold your attention. Check it out below!http://www.vimeo.com/69722654
Birthday BBQ for my brother AKEWS. One of the best sessions of the summer for sure. We had some amazing skewers, lovely helpers and great company. Our friend TASQ was able to join us from Germany. He is formally from Vancouver and an original member of the classic canadian SAL crew (Still At Large). It was very cool to see a new piece from him.
I tried some of new hardcore colours on my piece, specifically the ‘Max Green’ for my 3d which worked out great. Its one of my new favourites for its light tone and brightness. I’ve also been experimenting with some new letters and its been quite satisfying working with new connections and compositions.
I usually cruise the staff picks on vimeo for quality video. Its always inspiring and you never know what you might discover. I found this music video the other day that tripped me the fuck out!http://www.vimeo.com/68721490
The weather is nice and all, but what would the summer be without some good friends and good sessions?
Another good session with the boys. Were keeping it light, fun and excuse-free with this awesome weather in Vancouver.
We don’t own em – all we do is try to keep things running on time.
My latest obsession now turning into a problem. Its something I enjoy both to admire and create. Still lots to learn but practice makes perfect! Heres some that I’ve made and seen around.
