Montana Shop Madrid has been keeping us on our toes, continuing to exhibit work by graphic artists and collectives; the next 17th of February, from 7pm, the latest exhibition by Fabio López DOURONE will open, under the slogan ‘El sistema’ (‘The System; Development develops inequality’), in a homage to the Uruguayan writer and reporter, Eduardo Galeano, who you may know for his works such as ‘Open Veins of Latin America’ (Las venas abiertas de América latina).
An excerpt from the press release: “This is the system which programs computers, which the banker uses for alarms, which alerts the ambassador, who is eating with the general, who summons the president, who calls on the minister, who threatens the general director, who humiliates the manager, who shouts at the boss, who ‘prepotea’s the employee, who looks down on the worker, who mistreats his woman, who hits her son, who kicks a dog.”
“El sistema” by Dourone (check his 2011 portfolio) will remain open until the 9th of March.
