This weekend there’s a buzz in the city, and one of the reasons is because of the celebration of the ’’Barcelona Tattoo Expo 2015”. The annual Barcelona tattoo meeting once again counts on the presence of Montana Shop Barcelona through its pop-up store. In the store, besides functioning as a sales point for all the Montana Colors products, the exhibition, Kaput Handmade, will be held, as well as workshop and exhibition activities by various artists from the graffiti, tattoo, and painting worlds. The following names are who we’re talking about:
Started painting graffiti at a very young age around the year 92, and since then has dragged the “Tokio” pseudonym along with him. In 2008 he started to professionally devote himself to tattooing and from then on, his main interest has been, and still is, raising the bar.

* Exhibition Saturday, October 3rd
He began to get involved in the graffiti world around 2002, becoming fully immersed in the Hip Hop movement. As time went by, he gradually became interested in a more figurative path and less on letters. After having passed through several crews, around 2007 he got together with some people who were interested in painting with rollers on large scale, higher than usual walls. Among them were, Poseydon, Grito, Registred, and Aryz. After meeting up a few times, they formed the Mixed Media collective.
Meanwhile he made a detour through the Barcelona School of Fine Arts while still getting many walls done, and participated in various exhibitions, amongst which stands out the “Viaje hacia el presente” exhibition at Montana Gallery near the end of 2014.

* Group show (Sinsentido, Deno “Bacteria Art Group”, and Gore “Los Cacos, KR2”) Saturday the 3rd and Sunday, October 4th.
A Catalan writer, born in Barcelona, his studies began in the field of illustration and, nowadays, he dedicates himself professionally to the field.
In 2001 he began working with the spray can, and he hasn’t stopped since; a new universe of plastic exploration opened up in front of him. The result of his work is a mutation of various influences, in which he combines the most basic routes of graffiti with other influences , such as American comics from the ’50s, or protagonist characters from ad campaigns. What he takes samples of, Sawe absorbs, transforms, adapts, and manages to surprise with. He has his own personal style, forged out of hours and hours in front of a blank wall, and his own imagination.
* Exhibition Sunday, october 4th
The well-known Barcelona designer and illustrator, Javier Gutierrez Gil aka Inocuo, is a master in handstyle and has permeated paper with the most diverse textures, typefaces, and characters since almost 20 years ago, when he made an early entry into the Massana School of Art and Design.
From then on his professional life has been a domino effect of project after project that have robbed him of night hours, burnt out the wacom light, and released digital imagery that’s been transferred to various physical formats.
He showed and still shows that it’s possible to bring warmth to the digital, and that every one of his pieces have been treated with the dedication and elaboration of a craftsman.
