A few weeks ago in Barcelona, we received a good group of Madrid writers (Albhe, Blize, Bluep, BRK192, Colh, Hifo, Jeosm, Mamón, Raya, Reve, Sarayk and Snoe); some from different neighborhoods, others pertaining to different crews, but they put together their ways of understanding, seeing, and living graffiti through the project, ‘Just For Fun‘.
In just a few days they assembled one of the most notable exhibitions that we’ve had in the Montana Café Restaurant, not just because of the quantity and quality of the pieces, but because of the fantastic harmony that you could sense in the group (despite the fact that they are a collective). A way to understand classic graffiti just as we were taught as kids or adolescents, with flawless execution and attention right down to the very last detail in calligraphy, style, form, color, message, and characters.
And if there’s anything that we would emphasize above all, it’s their value for teamwork; the term CREW in capital letters and raised up to the highest meaning of the word.
What better way to close this experience than by doing a wall, as we do so often, amongst friends. Here is the new video made by Ariana Oña, Laura Rodellas and Borja Morera, that we believe perfectly conveys this feeling.
Congratulations girls/ guys, it’s been a pleasure.
