In our MONTANA GALLERY (c/ Comerç, 6), we’ll be displaying art pieces by NEKO, the result of his work in urban spaces, which is complemented by this little message which he left us a few days ago and which you can see in this video by Germán Rigol, all of which falls within the frame of the BAC! Festival 2011 “Guerrilla Art”.
“He has begun to leave graffiti to one side and has climbed to this new level of poetry; an elevated form of vandalism, as it were”. Andrés Trapiello, Premio Nadal 2003
“Neko is not only conceptually investigating the most revolutionary graffiti in this country; he is also inventing techniques and modes of expression which will remain as his legacy”. Eduardo Lamparero, expert critic in urban art.
Opening TODAY Thursday the 20th of October, from 8pm. Exhibition from the 21st of October till the 19th of November 2011.
We’ll also be hosting the photographic exhibition of BRAZO DE HIERRO in our MONTANA CAFÉ (c/ Comerç, 4); you’ll see the flyer for that below.
An evening to remember, with two protagonists within the scene; one as activist and performer, and the other as documentary maker and reporter. As always, thanks to our sponsors, Cervezas Moritz and Carhartt.
