If there is one word that sums up the presentation of the exhibition of Patrick Evoke at MTN Gallery Barcelona, this is “amazing”. The Canadian showed an incredible amount of pieces, from sheet size to canvases over 4 meters long – one colorful invasion of nature, a usual presence in the work of Evoke. In the center of the hall a huge illustration was presiding the exhibition, a person, lying on the floor beneath, stayed buried under the branches of a tree for more than an hour. Next to our beloved Dj Chusbu a few pastry dishes announced what was about to happen: the artist gave us all a lesson of hospitality preparing pancakes with maple syrup at the very door of the gallery.
A simply fabulous party!
