New video production this time starring graffiti writer and illustrator FASIM in Valencia.
This Mural, since the paintings most compromised and with it’s humbleness towards all the consciences, it shouts in silence the routine atrocities of the wars and it’s horrible consequences. To all these martyrs with out any sense, to all the anonymous people that die each and every day in some wars by good or bad judgment or morals, TO ALL THESE PEOPLE CONVERTED INTO VICTIMS, THIS MURAL IS DEDICATED TO YOU… Fasim.
Produced by Jordi Ferrer & Diana Puertas.
Music by Dibe Dibosso.
Supported by Montana Colors.
The origin and the meaning of the completion of this large mural is based on the unbearable reality of the day to day disasters caused by war, affecting civilians; men, women, children, and elderly people.
The massive bombings going on in Iraq and Afghanistan, just to mention two of the current black points, creates hundreds and thousands of victims, with its presence and agenda, each year. It’s barbaric, excessive and inexcusable, and it should be condemned and criticized, from all points in the world.
The various governments and businesses which operate in these countries get into conflict over power and wealth, and it is these who are at the basis of the wars; we know this, and yet we tolerate it. And those that pay the piper are the defenseless, the farmers, the poverty-stricken… and children defending themselves with rocks, or women being molested, is old news.
THE PIECE
A mural painting done with aerosol cans, with only one shade of color; yellow; the color of divinity and light, descends, in this case, from light yellow to pure yellow to yellow tainted with black, and on to darkness, or absence of light.
The style is the artist/painter’s own, FreeStyle (graffiti and street art style, called as such because of its gestural freedom and improvisation), with innumerous characters, faces, crowds, optical games which split the image of the painting, with anthromorphic, tragic, and mysterious results.
