The second edition of the “Seres Queridos”, meaning “loved ones”, came to an end after ten days of work in eleven different town halls in the Campeche region of Mexico.
The theme that the artists Akut (Germany), El Mac (USA), El Niño de las Pinturas (Spain), and Mr. Kern (France) worked with was the same as the first go-round, as well as the spectacular turnout, which you can see in these photos.

Four giant murals were the backdrop and canvas for the four portraits of people known and loved by everyone living in the area: Mrs. Socorrito who has sold newspapers her whole life in the main square, Luis Alfonso Cruz “El Paisa” a car-washer who always happily cared for his dogs, Jorge Perez Camara, 67 years old and one of Campeche’s first notaries, and Manuel Chang Lee, “El Chino”, a Korean known for his shop of “1000 wonders”.
The artists also painted together on an immense mural on the Inbursa building (150 ft x 80 ft) eleven people who represent the eleven town halls of Campeche and there characteristics, folklore, and different traditions.
This was an event led by Nobulo Art and Culture Projects (Spain), organized by the Secretary of Culture of the State of Campeche, and Arto – Art Beyond Museums (Mexico).
“Seres Quieridos” had the helping hand of Montana Colors as well.
