Here at Montana Colors we encourage you to become a follower of a really important space on the Barcelona graffiti scene. We’re going to demonstrate that graffiti still has a place in this city. Below, you can read a manifesto published in this blog. Together we can do it.

Graffiti legal Barcelone is an initiative which aims to achieve a legal framework for Graffiti in Barcelona.

After the application of the civility ordinance, by the ”Institut del Paissatge Urbà i la Qualitat de Vida”, which prohibits the spray painting of shutters in our city,  and threatens to fine artists and businesses for doing so. This initiative promotes the association of organizations which support Graffiti, as well as the writers, and anyone that fights the persecution of Graffiti in Barcelona.

The Graffiti movement is often very individualistic and apolitical. A tolerant attitude on the part of the Administration should not be a problem, but we find ourselves in a constant position of persecution in trying to change what is considered legal Graffiti. The Government is not aware of the existence of people affected negatively by the application of the law, nor of its critics.

This initiative attempts to bring together all of the aforementioned groups, to create a strong union of which the administration can take notice.
