The Harreman project by Reskate Studio aims to permeate the etymology of language through occasional ironic winks and the use of photoluminescent painting; a technique that allows for various interpretations of one artwork. Through the use of light, the spectator becomes a participant in the artwork in creating a response after an action. The name of the project originates from the word “harreman” which means “relation” in the Basque language.
The idea aims to illuminate and give life to the darkest corners of cities by installing new lights in the streets and stimulating the interaction of pedestrains and walls. To achieve this, the MTN Specialty Poltergeist photoluminescent paint was prepared for use with a paint brush.
The artwork titled, “Unawareness” refers to the historical delay in deep sea exploration due to the space race between Russia and the United States. The wall is located in the city of Timisoara in Romania within the framework of the Fisart 2016 urban art festival that was promoted by Bali Green with the collaboration of Montana Colors.
