Insane51, Steve Locatelli, Treze and Malakkai are a few of the artists who have been recruited by Aarhus Festuge. It’s an artistic festival that takes place in the Danish town during the last weekend of August. Over the course of the event, street art has reached a high level of representation thanks to the talented international artists who were invited on this occasion. Some unusual wooden structures served as a surface for a diverse exhibition of impressive artworks but the images below speak for themselves…
“Festuge entertains, surprises and challenges with an extensive program that covers all the artistic and cultural genres imaginable. Innovative art and cultural experiences from within Denmark and from abroad take place all under one roof together with free concerts and events (…).
Aarhus Festuge was first held in 1965, and today it’s one of the largest and oldest culture festivals within the Nordic countries. Half a million guests over 10 summer days create the energy and special atmosphere that is so representative of Festugen. The more than 1000 events spread out over more than 100 different stages pretty much indicates that the entire city joins in on the party; the stages are both outside and inside.“
