He calls himself L’OUTSIDER and he is a perturbing, French experimental graffiti artist. Despite the fact that his creative work also extends into the realm of photography, his letter-related work develops through distinct styles that are classified strictly. On his website you can scroll through his whole repertoire that varies from onomatopoeia-type pieces to letters with flags and logos.
It was this summer that we were taken aback by a series of pieces on his Instagram page that had been painted with black MTN MADMAXXX. By using aerosol on the wall in an oblique fashion, the French writer manages to achieve some unusual fades and effects that allow him to construct typographies that are aesthetically similar to abstraction.
