After the sensational video of Aryz and his controversial mural in China, German Rigol is back with a new film, this time dedicated to the Basque street artist, Bàlu.
Utilizing the stencil technique, a portrait of the sculptor, Jorge Oteiza, is furtively completed under one of the sculptor’s sculptures itself. In doing so, Balu pays homage to Oteiza and at the same time, puts into practice his discourse that attests to the humane nature of art outside of the institutions.
German Rigol pursues Balu from his secluded work space in the middle of the forest until the intervention’s location on the Paseo Nuevo in Donosti, allowing you to witness a touch of the charming Basque geography.
