Halfway through the year the winemakers of Campoviejo brought artists Okuda and Remed out to their vineyards in La Rioja. How would the two painters adapt to a rural countryside of these characteristics?
“We came to the location to see the surroundings, but we had no idea of what they wanted us to do there. We didn’t know if we were here to make a sculpture or a mural, we had no materials, nothing to use..“
The result: An enormous sculpture is now at place within the landscapes of La Rioja, signed by Okuda and Remed. A unique piece of work which unifies their two styles very well.
Some days ago a video was published which documented the process of their creation. It is about time to take a look at what happened during this fascinating intervention.
