Today we recovered this documentary published three months ago starring three urban artists from Montpellier in France.
‘The documentary, made by Pierrick Campoy Amador presents three artists from Montpellier: Rays, Salamech and Al, raising the contrasts of public communication which exists between market advertising and savage creativity. They present their methods, their reasons, and their relation to our contemporary society by presenting their work on the border of the law.
From the stencils of Ray to the pieces by Salamech, with the collages of Al, the movie shares its urban experiences and graphics which fights against societies forced norms trying to bring a new image and a closer and more sincere view of these art forms of the people.‘
Unfortunately the video does not come with any subtitles. However, if you don’t speak french, you can enjoy the artistic process of the material, like in the case of Salamech.
And here we have some of the last wall pieces by Salamech…
With Smole and Vania. (Click over the image to enlarge)
