Once again we got our hands another episode from the series “De vuelta al juego“. This time the location is Soacha in the rural areas of Bogota (Suacha: Man of the Sun), and the starring artist in charge of the action is Franco, who in protest is here to show us the sad social situation which can be seen in this area.
“Right now we are facing a great problem with the overpopulation in these areas due to the internal conflicts in Colombia. People have had to leave their homes in exile because of the violence. Single mothers and widows, ex convicts, street peddlers, children, a general increase of delinquency and local politicians are some of the reasons to this situation.
The population has migrated towards the mountains, which in its turn is the main natural resource of the municipality, and this is causing a huge detoriation in the area together with the illegal mining.”
