An impressive work made by the super creative duo JBAK (Addison Karl and James Bullough). The two americans was hired to make a commission of a 500 square meter wall on a building at Landsberger Alle in Berlin. “Totem Mural” is the title of this surprising creation which mixes hyper-realism with a hard chromatic contrast, thanks to the photographic style which is typical for Bullough and Karl‘s expressionistic illustration. The icing on the cake of this amazing work is the three dimensional effect of the characters in the image.
“The idea of the Totem is very community based, and it’s a historic symbol of people who live within. We wanted to touch on that with this artwork. It’s very vertical and not so wide. It was kind of like the perfect solution to make it with this.”
