Twenty years is nothing, yet at the same time it’s a whole lifetime, or several of them. The majority of you have grown up by our side and have helped us to grow. Along the road we’ve gone from looking at photo albums crammed next to one another, to looking at them in the privacy of our own homes through the social networks. Twenty years being elbow to elbow, our faces to the wall and to the metal; in outskirts and cities all around the world.
There’s nothing left to do but to look back and remember all of those adventures and battles, losses and triumphs that we’ve experienced and that form part of what we know. Thanks to you and to life itself, we’ve received lessons that have become part of our roadmap.
We’d like to celebrate these 20 years together with you at Montana Gallery Barcelona, with a group exhibition of 20 writers, artists, and humble representatives for the many other friends that we won’t be able to give credit to in any gallery in the world, no matter how big it was.
This is a memorial for the thing that we all have in common, that we have lived together and seen through the eyes of some of the protagonists; writers, and graffiti artists like you who are our reason for existence and our daily motivation. It’s also a way to acknowledge that we will continue on together despite the years going by, both in presence and in spirit of those who are no longer here with us. A one of a kind event which begins another chapter to our shared story.
We hope that you enjoy the evening with us and that we may fulfill many more years together.
