The french artiste, Dr. Colors, wanted to share this stunning mechanical graffiti video with us. We’re talking about technical ingenuity presented in an exhibition that reproduces famous New York writers’ names using MTN Water Based 300. You can see legends from Taki183, Futura, and Stayhigh149 to more recent tags like Gusto, Guns, or False.
Observing the way the mechanical apparatus works reminds us of Hektor, a robot designed a few years ago that you could say had a childlike ‘pictorial flavour’.
In the field of technology applied to graffiti in its rudimentary execution, it’s also fun to mention the Senseless Drawing Bot, also created a few years ago by Takahiro Yagamuchi and So Kanno in collaboration with Montana Colors Japan.
