The Egowar team is going so hard that before the hottest season of the year comes to an end, they’ve already released number 12 dedicated to summer 2015. But, although there’s still many more weeks of heat ahead of us, being up to date on subterranean graffiti is always welcome. So let’s have a flip through this issue.
We’ll start off by reviewing a couple of special articles, just as the cover suggests. The first one is dedicated to the UFOS collective; a crew with members in Canada and the United States (so as to not to confuse them with the Greek crew). In the pages dedicated to their feature you’ll see pieces on train systems from different cities all over North America. From Cleveland to Atlanta, or Washington, and up to Toronto and Vancouver.
The Ghettoblasters are going strong, and not just on the Internet. There’s 13 pages that contain not just metros from their German cities of origin (Hamburg and Berlín), but also several European metros and some from the U.S. It gives us a good idea of the variety of styles housed within the group.
The third special feature, though more succinct, is dedicated to Jay T, which as usual brings a nice dose of artistic tranquility.
The rest of the magazine’s guts are filled by 15 different train systems with a large variety of styles, amongst which we’d like to highlight the four pages dedicated to Copenhagen’s white metro, the two one-man whole cars on the Lisboa metro page, and the tremendous pieces by Chaos On different Italian systems, making it clear that he’s still in good shape.
And that’s all for now, but remember, summer still hasn’t ended.
