Bad Taste magazine number 17 has kept it going in the same direction as its last issue. Aiming for a top quality layout, this edition possesses a book-like format, with hard covers and a heavyweight paper interior.
The issue begins with a short Hall of Fame section with a modest selection of fresh German style, and jumps straight into a section of Hamburg S-Trains. The repeated presence of Ghettoblaster Cosak is a bonus.
The following 7 pages feature the QMS crew and are subdivided into whole cars, Hamburg metros, international metros, and other trains.
And it wouldn’t be right without the part dedicated to the Hamburg metro that features pieces done by exclusively local writers. Take note of how much the Apris piece stands out on the new and appetizing silver train model.
Up to this point everything is quite local, but then you get to the red metal section. German trains without much distinction are featured, followed up by a special dedication to Noris One. Extremely elaborate pieces on medium distance trains from countries like Portugal, Italy, and France are coupled with a text written by Eiyo, that summarizes Noris’ experience on an Interrail trip.
The last pages are dedicated to trains and metros from different countries, in which a full color whole car by the Italian, Chaos, and a piece by the German, Motiv, on the New Jersey metro are included.
Bad Taste continues to keep its editorial production alive and well with this issue #17 that offers content worth treasuring.
