The editorial, Publikat, presents the unique book, “Get Up Stay Up, The Concise Graffiti Writer’s Handbook”. The title seems pretentious but it fits the bill; it’s an authentic guide for (illegal) graffiti writers.
If this description doesn’t inspire much trust at first, its contents are filled with information that any experienced writer should know “off by heart”, but it’s all explained in a simple, logical, and reliable manner. Accompanied by simple, effective illustrations, the texts schematically describe the graffiti world throughout its 130 pages. The sections range from the basic materials utilized, to painting complements, to a guide for the detained, through to making your own homemade ink, and also useful tips on “beefs”, among other topics.
The designer Danny Crofts is the author of the texts and illustrations that appear in the manual. It’s an ideal book for beginners that contains tips that surely not all veteran writers know.
