The esteemed novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte dedicated to the graffiti world, “El francotirador paciente”, has been followed up with a more visual format thanks to Jeosm. The famous Carthaginian writer has collaborated with the Madrid based photographer to launch an editorial piece that documents action carried out in different places around Europe.
This Wednesday, June 22nd at 8:00 PM, the book titled, “Guerreros Urbanos”, will be presented at La Fábrica in Madrid. Since it could’t happen any other way, at the event there will be a graffiti exhibition which on this occasion will be executed by the legendary Madrid writer, Zeta.
“Guerreros Urbanos portrays the people and work by graffiti writers in two different versions: a photographic version pertaining to Jeosm, and a narrative version by the novelist and scholar, Arturo Pérez-Reverte. Jeosm and Arturo Pérez-Reverte show us the compassionate side of graffiti by means of a narrative that ranges from spying scenarios to up to the finishing of the graffiti.
The book collects a hundred or so images in black and white, all made between 2011 and 2015 in different cities all over Europe.”
