“L’ Alchimiste” is an 85 meter long wall painted at the Lycée Jeanne d’albert Highschool in St. Germain-en-Laye, France. It is part of the first edition of the “Dans et Sur Les Murs” festival.
The theme is inspired by the novel, “The Alchemist”, by the writer Paulo Coelho. The story follows a young Andalusian shepherd on his trip to Egypt after having a recurring dream about a hidden treasure there. The main message in both the wall and the novel is to encourage people to follow their dreams and to live out their own “personal legend”.
