Same as Sosek, Felipe Yung is another artist from Sao Paulo which is bringing his art beyond the borders of Brazil. “Puffers and Eels” is the title of the mural made in Long Beach, California, here seen in a video from the intervention. Dont forget to check out the interview he made with Tatiana Cesso for The Brazil Curator.
“I’ve drawn jellyfishes and some deep-sea creatures like puffers and eels, as a way to show my respect to the ocean“
Felipe Yung, also known as FLIP, is an artist from São Paulo who brought his art from the streets to the galleries over time.
His works on the streets are marked by the characters he creates, which are portrayed on very vivid colors and in various sizes: from huge creatures to a bunch of very tiny beings creating a visual pattern.
Besides the characters he paints on the streets, Yung also works with other themes, such as fetishes, camouflage, japanese calligraphy, urban calligraphy (tags and pixação) and xylographs.
Montana Colors Brazil provided this material.
