After Kenor’s surprising intervention on the Kiev metro, another Spanish artist has brought color to an entire underground train system in the Ukranian capital.
Okuda, who has been taking his style to unusual surfaces such as religious temples, has fulfilled every writers’ dream in decorating five classic model Metrowagonwash train cars on both sides.
The compositions on each of the carriages provide the complete catalogue of Okuda’s current iconography; from purely ornamental geometry to natural landscapes, through to portraits, psychedelia, and letters. Of course, it’s all executed with the powerful color that characterizes Okuda’s style, that makes this intervention a truly incredible work of art on wheels.
