A gigantic squirrel has appeared on the wall adjacent to the Workshop Gastro Pub at George’s Quay in Dublin. The artist behind the artwork couldn’t be any other than Bordalo II – the “trash Art” artist who converts garbage into enormous animals with a unique technique that mixes mural paint and sculpture. Ireland has now been added to the list of 24 countries where we can run into these animal world homages. These works cause us to reflect on the constant ecological danger within ecosystems that derives from the impact of human society.
Project supported by All-City Dublin and Montana Colors. Pictures by Trev “Little Wolf” Whelan and Rua Meegan.
