On Imgur we bumped into an interesting post titled ’30 Year Old Graffiti Timeline’, published by PaulDeGraff.
It’s an examination of the paint layers that cover the “Doornroosje” wall, a Hall of Fame located in the Dutch city of Nijmegen that’s been around for over 30 years. This was a cult-like place for hippies in the 70’s, for musical creation throughout the 80’s, and it was one of the first places to legalize the consumption of cannabis.
By means of a cross sectional cut on part of the wall and some macro photography, we can comprehend the quantity of layers and layers of paint that have been accumulating over the years and in turn, keep a chronological record.
