For the 5th anniversary of the Berklee Valencia Campus, a competition was organized in collaboration with the Valencia Polytechnic University to select the artist who would take charge of decorating the library of this school for musicians. A committee of five jurors was responsible for selecting the winning project amongst the 28 proposals that were presented during the month of March.
Paul Loubet from France was chosen for his mural titled Jazz, where his almost suprematist style adapts well to the room’s wall because of both its shape and content. Within the decentralized composition the viewer can take in musical instrument references and his use of aptly distributed color and shapes.
