By Night Gallery and IAM presents this sensational video format reportage about the mural intervention completed by Okuda in Paris in the beginning of summer. This was the first artwork of its kind in the French capital and one of the largest to date executed by the Spanish artist.
“The chosen theme for the composition is an interpretation of the well-known painting of the Gioconda by Leonardo, which was presented in various sketches to the locals from the neighborhood who were then allowed to select which version was to be painted.“
“The peculiarity of this project is that I’m working on a hanging scaffold. Since I usually don’t do sketches and am not used to defining everything before starting, I had to imagine the whole thing before getting up there in order to have a reference of the balconies and how to scale up the sketch and maintain the proportions.”
