The Fundación A La Par, a Madrid based organization that works towards the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, invited six artists to smother their facilities with their art at the end of this October.
Anna Taratiel, Nano4814, Nuria Mora, Okuda, Sixe Paredes and Spok undertook some collaborative work together with professionals from the foundation.
Over 950 m2 of wall was covered by the artists who were helped by more than 250 helpers with intellectual disabilities. It was an explosion of color that converted the walls of the Fundación A La Par studios into a miniature Wynwood.
“I would like to highlight the human side of the initiatives that the Fundación A La Par is carrying out, beyond the social issues, which are also important. The personal attention that these people are receiving; each one of them is a whole world in themselves.”
Okuda
