This video comes sent from Florence, Italy and shows a production made in the ITT Marco Polo college as the second intervention of Tuscany’s Urban Colors Correction and it is the largest mural ever painted on a school building in Europe.
The creative process was made through deliberations between students, teachers and the EDF crew.
The results of this brainstorming became to present travel, evolution and learning which a person can experience from its origin to the pure self, symbolizing it from white to black in a transition made from the left side to the right side of the building.
This adventure was presented through a mythical traveler: Ulises. Here used as a metaphoric guide as the figure of a teacher.
Within this vast universe which the mural depicts there is a phrase by the marxist filosopher Gramsci. A phrase for personal compromise, a determination for those who chooses a path towards self growth.
