Last autumn the Fundacja Urban Forms invited the Brittish group Nomad Clan to paint within the line-up for 4Kultury Festival held in Lodz in Poland. The Manchester crew came and gave the town a intervention called “Mokosz”, a work dedicated to the goddess with the same name. According to Slavic folkloric belief this holy character is the protector of the women and their destiny, and relates to fertility and agricultural bonanza.
The building painted is a old cotton factory where the women worked at the spinning machines, and this way they have managed to relate their concept with the surrounding and its history. The Studio Bokehgo has been in charge of this outstanding clip which we can se here.
