3 new models of MTN Systems drop today. The new cities included in Montana Colors’ mini InterRail adventure are no more and no less than Copenhagen, with its legendary S-Train; Marseille, with its renowned rubber-tired Metro; and Warsaw, with the old version of its well-kept Suburban.
Inspired by the Metrovagonmash, the Warsaw model is our particular nod to the Polish graffiti scene. Known as one of the hardest metro systems in the world to hit, you can now paint it from the comfort of your own home. The legendary second-generation Copenhagen S-train was an overdue addition to the MTN Systems range. The model is a tribute to the Danish graffiti scene and one of the most emblematic railway wonders of Europe, unfortunately no longer in service. Thanks to the importance of French graffiti, a second famous French system now features in the MTN catalogue: the subway from the Mediterranean coastal city, Marseille.
For this release, we’ve asked a few local writers in each city to intervene in their respective miniature MTN System. The protagonists are Apashe and Fuego from Marseille, Panik from Copenhagen, and Termo HCZ from Warsaw. Although they all leave an indelible mark on each, we must mention that Panik has doubled up on this one, reproducing two MTN Systems pieces from real trains that he painted. This particular job, literally from the yards to the studio, reminds us of the original idea that “BCN MOST WANTED” is based on: the exhibition that brought miniature reproductions by writers linked to the Catalonian capital to Montana Shop Barcelona and whose works continue to hang on the walls of the store.
Keep an eye on our official Instagram account to follow the process…We will be sharing the videos that the writers will publish of these unique interventions on their accounts, so stay up, and don’t miss your stop.
