December 1st will be remembered among the Sydney graffiti community as the celebration of the first MTN OZ Jam Ever, which gathered writers and muralists from Melbourne, Queensland, Brisbane, Perth and Tasmania. In total, more than 80 artists, more than 45 bboys and bgirls participated and many other activities could be enjoyed.

The MTN Jam Ever was a success in terms of attendance at the Casula Powerhouse in Sydney. The event brought together more than 80 artists (writers and muralists), more than 45 b-boys and b-girls, and a performance by Island Stars representing country acknowledgment, a show of respect for Aboriginal people and the country’s culture. A full celebration of the land’s street culture thanks to more than 50 artists who transformed the Powerhouse grounds into an open graffiti jam with talent from around the country.
In addition to the exhibitions, there was a graffiti workshop for beginners, a pop-up store where you could buy clothes at special prices and paint, and the official presentation of MTN Australia‘s latest clothing collection: The Originals.
What else?
Well, we could also see that there is more breaking in Australia than we saw at the Olympics (we thought so) thanks to dance battles by icons such as BobbCC, Bgirl Jayon and Hideboo.
The music, as to be expected in this type of jam, was non-stop all day long and provided by DJ Yeah Yin, who rocked the crowd with a session spanning hip-hop classics to current hits, with MC Hyok hosting and engaging the crowd to create an unforgettable experience.
And all of this was without refreshments? No. Thanks to Redbull and a barbecue no one went thirsty or hungry.
Children and adults alike enjoyed the event. We have a serious case of FOMO, but since we were not there and could not enjoy it, we have to satisfy our souls with the photos and videos.
Among the guests were Riots, Mistery, Sencis, Pick, Portl, Swaze, Amuse, Days, Peque and Phibs.
And the muralists: Reubssz, Sekt, Inari, Debbie, Sophi, Gus, and Smackas.
