2024 is on its way out, and even though a thousand things have happened, we are going to say farewell with a topic that has sowed enough doubt to justify us writing this article. We have seen a type of tag that has drawn our attention and because it has no name, we have “baptized” hyper dripping. Do you know what we are talking about?
Is dripping inherent to a tag? We can’t say for sure, but it seems that drippy tags are the result of numerous factors. They depend not only on the skill of the writer, but also on the type of marker and the amount or type of ink.

There is a curious pleasure in a tag that drips. We can’t explain it, but the generosity of the ink dripping from the letters has us hooked.

But we are not talking about that kind of tag. When we refer to hyperdripping, we mean tags that have become illegible and have become a mass of ink. Something that can’t be read, and that can look like an “accident”.

We wanted to decipher whether or not it was intentional. Whether or not it was a parody of drippy tags, and for this we asked Esnore, a Chilean writer who takes these tags very seriously.
“This style of tagging, which I believe has no name, came about because I would constantly write my name on walls. The love I have for graffiti and the euphoria I feel at the moment of being in contact with ink and markers, led me to such a state of ecstasy that I began to experience street writing in a more spiritual way.
Based on this beautiful process, I was able to achieve this result.
