Montana Colors & B-M Presents
B_LOCAL COLLECTIVE SHOW CLOSING EVENT
B-MURALS CENTRE D’URBÀ
B-Murals and Montana Colors presents the grand conclusion to an event that has defined the contemporary street art and muralism scene in Barcelona.
The date marks the final occasion to visit the show, and also includes a program of special activities throughout.
A public conference will bring together artists and organizers who have been key to the success of the exhibition. Entitled “GLOCAL: Opportunities and challenges for contemporary mural art”, the presentation will feature artists Jorge Gerarda and Socatoba, Xavi Ballaz and Ana Manaia from B-Murals and Marc Mascort i Boix from Montana Colors. Capacity will be limited for the conference, but it will be streamed live through social media and available to play back after the event.
Apart from showing full support for the city’s art scene, the program includes the opportunity to contribute to a worthy humanitarian cause. Presented by the painter Txemy, an auction of original artworks from participating artists will open for 24 hours of bids: once again, both in person and online, with all funds raised going to the Open Arms Foundation.
Two murals will be completed over the day by artists who have made a name for themselves in recent months. Slim Safont will produce one of his trademark emotive portraits, whilst the Zion Town Kids will express their own particular brand of mixed media anarchy, also representing the beginning of the next series of events at the B-Murals space.
B – L O C A L brought together over 80 Barcelona-based artists, also featuring several live large-scale interventions from participants in the exhibition.
